A personal exercise in a time of transition. I am concerned with connecting to life through photography, words, nature, and cultivation. While photography is my primary medium, I find a freedom in the idea that photography is just a tool for communication, so the work here will not be limited to only photos but rather a conglomeration of visual or written work. A journal if you will. A diary. A record of time.

Chasing Home Reception Review

Beautiful thank yous to those who came by the opening reception of Chasing Home with Main Street Projects in Houston last Sunday afternoon. This iteration of the project showcased 19 16x20 inkjet prints from medium format negative scans as well as a small collection 15 5x7 “in-betweens”, a growing series of work around Houston made with exposed BW film in disposable cameras between 2016-2017. This collection is accompanied with an associative visual poetic artist book: a 48 page, soft cover, photobook with images from the show as well as non-published images from the B-sides of the series.

I so enjoyed hearing the positive feedback. The work will be on view until the end of May at 3550 Main St. in Midtown, Houston. Though the building is usually locked to outsiders during the week for security, the work can be seen from the sidewalk (a little goes a long way!) though the large glass walls.
